Steve Aktipis – Podiatrist

Steve brings a wealth of experience and skill to our clinic, having worked with some of the leading podiatrists in private practice and the public sector over many years.

He graduated from the University of South Australia before relocating to Sydney in 2001 where he managed two successful private practices. Having spent some time living in picturesque Prague, Steve has since been focused on passing on his knowledge to the local community and beyond.

Podiatric medicine is Steve’s speciality and he is passionate about the community, ranging from the daily walker to the elite athlete, reaching their physical development potential by addressing often undiagnosed biomechanical functional issues using a holistic approach.

Modalities of treatment used by Steve include orthotic therapy, foot mobilisation techniques, strapping, dry needling, local anaesthesia and palliative treatment of such lesions as painful corns, callouses, ingrown toenails etc.

The holistic approach of podiatric biomechanics provided by Steve emphasises the crucial role the lower limbs and feet have on the rest of the body.  Steve’s methods of treatment allow him to provide the highest level of care for all types of foot related conditions and symptoms.
